This is my final year project at university with a focus on the Houdini Engine which was a great opportunity to dig deeper into procedural tools and systems. The idea behind the project was to be able to create a system in which a variety of different islands could be created with just a few clicks
The procedural Island was based on the art style of “Sea of Thieves” by Rare incorporating their iconic simplified art style with the procedural workflow of Houdini. The project is put together in Unreal Engine by using the Houdini Engine plug-in to construct a variety of different islands with HDA parameters for infinite variations.
